A sore, itchy throat can be a real bothersome.
For temporary relief, brew yourself a a cup of tea using honey, lemon juice, ground cinnamon and cloves.
Honey helps to soothe the throat and suppress coughing. Lemon juice is great for helping to boost the immune system and the cinnamon helps to clear congestion.
What You Need:
1 cup hot water
2 tbsp honey
3 tsp. lemon juice
3 tsp. ground cinnamon
Grind 1 tbsp whole cloves and boil 2 cups water.
Add cloves to boiling water and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and remove cloves using a strainer.
Mix in honey, lemon juice and add cinnamon.
Stir and drink while warm. Be careful not to burn yourself.
This tea is great for when you throat is feeling dry and itchy.
If your sore throat lasts longer than a few days it is best to seek medical attention as this could be a sign of a possible infection.
